PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems) is a generic term used for describing multiple name-brand imaging systems that enable distant facilities to view, manipulate, and share digital records. Intergy EHR by Sage has a PACS tab that allows you to access the images directly from the server.
From this tab, you can view and perform analysis on DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communication In Medicine) images for the patient using tools designed specifically for use with DICOM images.
DICOM images are generated when diagnostic studies performed on modalities are completed at the imaging site and stored on a PACS imaging server.
PACS handles images from the following medical imaging instruments:

Having this capability will increase your ability to provide the best care to your patients by decreasing the amount of time it takes to receive results as well as the ability to compare studies from multiple types of images.
