Don't Miss Out on the EHR Stimulus

Friday, December 4, 2009 by Jennifer Sanders
The Government has slated billions of dollars in stimulus money for physicians that can exhibit "meaningful use" of a certified EHR system within the next few years.  Each provider in your practice can expect as much as $44,000.00 of stimulus money for purchasing an EHR and providing such "meaningful use".  But, what does "meaningful use" mean?  Well, we really don't know for sure, at this point.  The Government is still in the process of figuring that out.  What we do know if that you will need to be on an EHR system no later than 2014 to receive any of the stimulus money.  And, the longer you wait, the less you will get.  Going a step further, if you choose to not implement an EHR system in your practice, you will begin receiving a decrease in Medicare reimbursements.

At Bradford-Scott Data Corporation, we offer an EHR system, Intergy by Sage, that we believe will meet all the requirements to qualify for the stimulus package.  Our product will offer you the following:
  • Sage Intergy EHR V5.5 is CCHIT 2008 certified
  • Integration to our Intergy by Sage Practice Management Software
  • Electronic Prescriptions
  • Electronic Labs
  • Templates for all types of provider specialties
  • A Specialized OB chart to track pregnancies
  • Backup of the Medcin Database to ensure you are coding your visits appropriately
  • Paperless patient charts
  • Secure access to your patient's medical records
These are just a few of the many options you will receive with our Intergy EHR Product.  Please visit us at www.bradfordscott.com for more information.  Don't wait too long and miss out on the money you could receive.
